Timber Plantation Shutters Brisbane - Custom Made
The natural premium. Real timber shutters, painted or stained, custom made for your windows.

Why timber
Timber is the lightest shutter material, which means wider panels, fewer joins across big windows, and panels that stay easy to swing for decades. Sustainably grown basswood and paulownia take painted finishes beautifully and can be stained to show the grain. If the room deserves the real thing, this is the real thing.
Why you’ll love
timber shutters
- Widest panels of any material, so large windows stay elegant.
- Painted or stained in a full custom colour range.
- Naturally insulating, keeping rooms more comfortable year round.
- Adds real value. Shutters are one of the few window coverings buyers pay more for.

Where to use it
(and where not to)
Living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways: perfect. Bathrooms, laundries and splash zones: choose our PVC shutters instead; timber and steam aren’t friends, and we would rather point you to the right material than sell you the wrong one.

Made to suit the window, not the other way around
Timber shutters are custom built around the proportions and character of each opening. Choose panel widths, louvre sizes, frame styles and configurations to suit everything from a straightforward bedroom window to wide living-room glass. Hinged, bi-fold and sliding options allow the shutters to work naturally with the window or doorway while keeping sightlines clean and balanced.
A finish that becomes part of the room
Unlike a blind that sits over the window, timber shutters feel like part of the architecture. Choose a painted finish to match walls, trims or cabinetry, or a stain that lets the natural grain and warmth of the timber show through. The result is a permanent, furniture-quality finish that works just as comfortably in a classic Queenslander as it does in a contemporary home.

Frequently asked questions
Are timber shutters worth the extra cost?
For big windows and living spaces, usually yes: lighter panels, wider spans and a finish depth polymer can’t quite match. For wet areas or tight budgets, our PVC range gets you the look for less, and we quote both so you can decide.
Painted or stained?
Painted white and neutrals remain the classic plantation look; stains suit homes with timber floors and joinery. We bring finish samples to the measure.
What configurations are available?
Hinged, bi-fold, sliding and fixed panels, plus shaped windows including raked and arched openings.
How long do they take?
Australian-made timber shutters are the quicker option; imported ranges take longer but come in at a sharper price. We confirm the current lead time for both in writing with your quote.
