Is BasiX a security screen?
No, and we’ll never sell it to you as one. BasiX is a barrier screen: excellent for insects, pets and fall prevention, and much tougher than a flyscreen. If tested forced-entry protection is the goal, we’ll quote Xceed or SecureView alongside it so you can compare.
Does BasiX meet fall prevention rules for upstairs windows?
Yes. BasiX is designed for compliant fall prevention on openable windows, tested to resist outward force. If you have bedrooms upstairs, we’ll check which windows the rules apply to during the measure.
Will it keep midges and sandflies out?
Yes. The mesh aperture is fine enough to stop midges, which standard flyscreen often doesn’t. For bayside suburbs this is usually the deciding factor.
What is the warranty?
