SaltWaterSeries security doors and windows are made from 316 marine grade stainless steel woven mesh, specifically powder coated for harsh conditions. The mesh is chosen for its superb strength, durability and corrosion resistance, and is far superior to the 304 steel mesh on the market.
SaltWaterSeries is designed for optimum performance and durability in extreme environments including:
- Coastal areas within 500m from the coastline or up to 2 km for properties located on an escarpment, where prevailing wind will carry salt air
- Iron rich red dust prone areas
- Heavy industrial areas
Living right on the water?
For homes within a few hundred metres of saltwater, we can quote the SaltWater Series: the same 316 mesh with an additional protective coating, salt-spray tested to three times the duration, with a 20-year registered warranty. Is SecureView suitable for homes near the water?
Yes, it’s our go-to coastal screen. The mesh is T316 marine-grade stainless steel, the same grade used in marine fittings. For beachfront homes within about 500 metres of saltwater we quote the SaltWater Series, which carries an additional coating and a longer warranty for that exposure.
How does SecureView compare with Crimsafe?
They are competing stainless mesh systems that meet the same Australian Standard. SecureView uses T316 marine-grade mesh with a screwless, adhesive-bonded frame, and typically comes in at a sharper price. We’ll happily walk you through a like-for-like comparison at the measure.
Can SecureView be fitted to my existing doors and windows?
Almost always. Screens are custom made to your openings and retrofit to most sliding doors, hinged doors and window styles without replacing the door or window itself.
What maintenance does it need?
A gentle wash with warm soapy water keeps the warranty valid. How often depends on how close you’re to saltwater; we’ll give you the exact schedule for your address with your quote.
How long does it take?
We measure, the screens are custom made for your openings, then we install. We give you the current turnaround at the measure and confirm it in writing with your quote.
