Custom Blinds in Alexandra Hills

Big windows, big blocks, made to measure

Alexandra Hills was built out mostly in the eighties, and it shows in the windows: wide aluminium sliders, sunroom walls of glass, and living areas that open onto a patio. Those openings are exactly where an off-the-shelf blind falls short, either by an awkward gap at the sides or by a fabric that is too heavy to operate on a wide roll.

We measure every opening and make the blind to suit it, which on wide spans often means splitting the run across two or three blinds on one headrail so they are easy to use and sit flat.

Sitting high has its own light problem

The suburb is elevated, so there is not much shading it from the west. Rooms that face that way get strong late light, and it is the main reason people here replace their blinds.

Blockout fabric handles bedrooms and media rooms. Sunscreen keeps the outlook while cutting glare on screens and TVs, which suits open living areas. Honeycomb blinds are the best insulator we sell if the room gets genuinely hot. Venetians give you the finest control if you want to steer the light through the day rather than just block it.

A local team, not a franchise

We are based at Thornlands and cover Alexandra Hills, Capalaba, Cleveland and the rest of the Redlands. We measure, make and install, and we quote a fixed price so the number does not move after the measure.

If the house also needs security screens, outdoor blinds or plantation shutters, it is the same visit and the same quote.

What happens after you ask for a quote

Ask for a quote and we will book a measure in Alexandra Hills, usually within the week.

We measure every window, work through fabrics with you, and send a fixed price that includes the install. Wide openings sometimes need splitting across two or three blinds, and we will show you that at the measure rather than surprising you with it later.
