Zip Screen Outdoor Blinds Brisbane - Track Guided
Your patio, weatherproofed. Track-guided screens that seal the edges, stop at any height and shrug off the sea breeze.
Why zip systems beat everything else outdoors
Ordinary outdoor blinds flap, gap and rattle. A zip screen locks the fabric edge inside side tracks, top to bottom, so the screen sits drum-tight with no gaps for wind, rain, glare or midges to sneak through. It stops at any height, and it turns a patio into an extra room for most of the year.
Why you’ll love zip screens
- Sealed edges. No flapping in the afternoon breeze, no mosquito highway down the sides.
- Stops anywhere. Half shade, half view, your call.
- Handles real weather. Track retention gives far better wind tolerance than café-style blinds.
- See-through comfort. Ombra mesh in 1% openness (maximum block) or 6% (view and daylight), plus clear PVC for the winter months.
- Spring, crank or motorised operation, including remotes and wind sensors on motorised units.

Sizing and spans
Single screens span standard patio openings with wide-span options available for large alfresco areas. For very wide spaces we design multi-screen runs with slim intermediate posts.
Turn the patio into a room you’ll actually use
Zip screens make outdoor areas more comfortable when the conditions aren’t perfect. Drop them to cut harsh afternoon sun, reduce wind and keep insects out while maintaining airflow and your connection to the outdoors. Add clear PVC for cooler months and you can protect the space without closing it in, helping you get more use from patios, decks and alfresco areas throughout the year.

Motorised for effortless outdoor living
For larger screens and frequently used entertaining areas, motorisation makes everyday operation simple. Raise or lower individual screens from a remote or compatible control system, or operate multiple screens together when the weather changes. Wind sensors can add another layer of convenience by responding automatically to changing conditions, while the absence of manual cranks keeps the installation looking clean and uncluttered.
Motorisation is available in both battery-powered and 240V hardwired options.
Frequently asked questions
How windy is too windy?
Track-guided screens hold tension in conditions that would destroy a rope-and-pulley blind. In severe wind we recommend retracting them, and motorised units can do that automatically with a wind sensor.
Do zip screens block the view?
Mesh fabrics are designed to preserve the view out while cutting glare and heat, similar to sunglasses for your patio. The tighter the weave, the more privacy and shade; we bring samples so you can look through them before choosing.
Can I still use my outdoor area in winter?
Yes, that’s half the point. Clear or tinted PVC options close the space against wind and rain while keeping the outlook, turning the patio into a year-round room.
Manual or motorised?
Spring-assist manual operation is smooth and affordable. Motorised is the upgrade people rarely regret on screens they raise and lower daily, or on multiple screens they want moving together.
