Blinds for Mount Cotton Homes and Acreage

Acreage homes need a different answer

Mount Cotton is acreage and bushland more than it is suburbia, and the houses reflect that: long verandahs, high windows, rooms that look straight out into trees. There is usually no neighbour to screen out, so privacy matters less here and light control and heat matter more.

That changes what we recommend. Sunscreen roller blinds keep the outlook you paid for while taking the glare out of it. Venetians let you angle the light off a polished floor. Blockout is for the bedrooms, and honeycomb is worth it on the rooms that cop the afternoon sun.

New builds around the Southern Thornlands PDA

There is a lot of building about to happen on your doorstep. The state declared the Southern Thornlands Priority Development Area in 2025, an 890 hectare area bounded by Boundary Road, Mount Cotton Road and Eprapah Creek, with about 8,000 homes planned and the first 900 fast-tracked.

New builds are the easiest jobs to get right, because we can measure once the openings are in and have the blinds ready for handover. If you are building or renovating out here, talk to us before the window furnishings allowance gets spent, and we will tell you what it actually buys.

Measured and installed from Thornlands

We are ten minutes away at Thornlands, so getting out to an acreage block is not a problem, and we do not charge for the measure and quote.

Most Mount Cotton jobs end up including insect or security screens, because doors stay open out here, and outdoor blinds for the verandah. One visit covers all of it.

What happens after you ask for a quote

Ask for a quote and we will drive out to Mount Cotton, acreage included, usually within the week.

We measure every opening, talk through fabrics and motorisation for the high windows, and quote a fixed price that includes installation. If you are mid-build, we can measure once the windows are in and have the blinds ready for handover.
